The Food Bank of the RGV is stepping up to the Challenge – with your help! Every year, millions of Americans resolve to lose weight. If you’ve made your resolution to drop some holiday pounds, then join us in the Pound for Pound Challenge. You can help the millions of Americans who struggle with hunger while doing something good for yourself. Now in its second year, the Pound for Pound Challenge has partnered with NBC’s The Biggest Loser and General Mills to encourage Americans to “Lose Nationally, Feed Locally”. And we need your support to make our involvement a success!

Participating is easy and your impact can be huge. Simply sign up and pledge your weight loss goals here. For every pound you pledge, General Mills and other partners will donate 14 cents to Feeding America and distribute to the food bank that serves your zip code. In addition, you can quickly and easily gain encouragement for reaching your goal and pledges through the program’s Friends & Family Online Fundraising program to raise additional funds for the Food Bank of the RGV families in need.
