Food Drives

For the help that school children, civic clubs, church groups and companies lend to those who might otherwise go hungry in our Valley, thanks for all your efforts and spirit in which your contributions are given. 

Thank you for thinking about having a food drive even when it's not Christmas or Thanksgiving and remembering that hunger is not seasonal.    >>Visit the virtual food drive!!

The following organizations are hosting food and fund drives. 

Please support one of the following drives by dropping off non-perishable foods at these locations.  If you would like to host your own food and fund drive call Carter Robinson at the Food Bank RGV at 956-682-8101.

May 10th Drop-off point is your nearest mail box.

 Leave your non-perishable food at your mail box and your letter carrier will deliver them to the post office. 

Rural route customers may take their food donations to the nearest post office.

STC clubs donate food & funds      Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) Club President Joe Aleman (right) presented $100 donation to Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, Inc. Food and Funds Manager Carter Robinson (left). Aleman and other students in clubs at South Texas College helped collect food. The clubs included Writers In Literary Discussion, Student Government, Bachelor of Applied Technology Club, Japanese Animation Club, Inventors and Enterprise and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  Members collected 289 pounds of food at the three South Texas College campuses.
